Symmetry

when a scene displays a character or object in a way that mirrors 2 sides of the scene, Symmetry can be useful as a visual marker of important events in the narrative of a film, emphasising the shots that need to be given attention.

depth of field

depth of field that you select when taking an image will drastically impact impact the composition of an imagine. it can isolate a subject from its background and foreground (when using a shallow depth of field) or it can put the same subject in context by revealing its surrounding with a larger depth of field.

Framing

framing is a composition that used to keep the audience focused of something in a frame, the frame is a prop or apart of the scene and is meant to blend in with the rest of the scene.

Perspectives

perspective in film is how we as the audience are put into the film as the character and we're able to tell what they're seeing and how they're feeling based on the way the scene in composed.
